Kentucky Science & Technology Corporation (KSTC) is joining forces with Parallax Advanced Research and Vertx Partners to launch a new initiative to unlock Kentucky’s innovation potential, support national security and drive local investment.
The Warfighting Integration Network (WIN) in Kentucky will help university researchers, startups and technology organizations access federal funding opportunities with the Department of the Air Force and other defense agencies. Similar programs in neighboring states have generated tens of millions of dollars in local economic impact.

“The launch of the Warfighting Integration Network in Kentucky is a powerful opportunity to connect our state’s innovation assets to national defense priorities,” said KSTC President Terry Samuel. “Kentucky is home to a growing base of advanced manufacturers, technology companies and research institutions with solutions that are ready to scale.”
As part of the network, KSTC’s Kentucky Science & Engineering Foundation team will use its expertise in accessing federal funding to help innovators access these opportunities. The program will deliver targeted coaching, ecosystem development and opportunity navigation across the region, at no cost to participants.
By expanding access to federal innovation ecosystems, WIN in Kentucky will strengthen the state’s research capacity, support the growth of high-impact technologies and position Kentucky talent and ideas to contribute to national security and economic competitiveness.
